Landscape painting Workshop

 

Instructor Kerry Stothers will guide students through the process of painting a realistic landscape. Working from photographic reference of a master work, students will follow along the step by step process of painting a realistic landscape in oil. Students will learn about colour mixing, aerial perspective, and paint technique with oil. Acrylic painters are also welcome.

Artists of all levels will be able to create a painting they are proud of.

 

 

 

Supplies required:

 

Oil Paint colours:

Titanium white, Cadmium yellow light, Cadmium red light, Alizarin crimson, Ultramarine blue, Phthalo blue, Raw umber

 

Acrylic paint colour:

Raw sienna

 

Brushes:

At least 4 synthetic brushes. A detail brush (tiny “0”), ¼” flat, ½” flat,1” flat.

 

Accessories: dark brown chalk pastel, Rags, Odorless solvent, jar for holding solvent, Disposable paper palette, sponge.

 

Painting support: 11”x14” stretched canvas.
